Personality:
History: Connie Murphy is a detective for the chicago PD. As head of Chicago's Special Investigations (S.I.) Division, Detective Murphy tends to find herself neck deep in the unusual cases. The ones that most people can't solve. When the cases get to strange for even her to solve, that's when Murphy calls on her friend, Harry Dresden, for help.
Most people dont believe in the supernatural. Murphy, however, has seen
far too much not to believe...
...or at least suspect.
Strengths: Murphy is a Martial Art master in Aikido and can take down people twice her size, much to Harry's dismay. She is skilled with most firearms and rides a motorcycle like an expert (defensive driving courses).
Weakeness: Her caring nature and lack of knowledge regarding the magical world can and has been exploited to her detriment in her recent past. Her recent encounter with a body thief named Boone has left her traumatized. She is currently relying on anti-stress medication to keep her even so that she can still function on the job. To date, only Harry knows the extent of her mental stability.
Weapons: Police issue revolver, or whatever's handy at the moment.
Other Information: Despite her divorce, Murphy remains a devout Catholic. Also, Murphy is never without a pendant, shaped like a gold ring, on a chain around her neck; a gift from her daughter.
