Background

Personality: Strong of spirit, but a bit of a follower. Amber has a tendiency to tow the party line, in other words, she tends to believe whatever her superiors tell her. Afterall, they're the good guys right?

History: Amber is one of the most adept of the wardens, as well as one of the youngest. Though young, Amber has proven herself in battle time and again. Ever clear-headed, even in the face of danger, Amber is often the first to bring the fight. As a warden, she knows her duty, and her place. She knows who to listen to, and who to believe.

At least that was all before she met Harry Dresden for the first time. Before her encounter with Harry, she believed that Harry was no good and possibly a practitioner of the black arts. Turn's out that Harry's history with the council is required reading for wardens in training as a perfect example of "what not do" when confronting a wizard of the council.

Unfortunately for Amber, she never heard Harry's side of the story, about the uncle that tried to take Harry's magick and use it against the council. That all changed the day she met Harry Dresden. It all happened the day that Connie Murphy came to Dresden's office, inquiring about a strange explosion that was heard nearby. She was skeptical as he proclaimed his innocence—after all, isn't Dresden involved in every weird thing that happens in Chicago? He offered to check it out but as they prepared to leave the store, Morgan, Ancient Mai, Amber and two more wardens, Wallace and Soto burst into his place, seeking refuge after being attacked by one of Ancient Mai's enemies. Mai herself was critically wounded. As Dresden and Morgan prepared to repel another attack, all the doors and windows went completely black. Soon the blackness encroached further and further into Dresden's place. Trapped together and suspicious of one another, the group raced against time to counter the murderous spell before it swallowed them all.

Amber had her misgivings about any of them receiving any sort of help from Harry, and no problems with voicing her opinions about him to Harry either.

It wasn't long before the Soto fell victim to the darkness. As he came into contact with it his soul was sucked from his body and his physical form destroyed. Wallace in a fit of paranoia, later attacked the group and and was run through by M0rgah's sword. Throughout the ordeal, Amber found that not only was Dresden not the man the council claimed he was, and in saving their lives, but a selfless hero to boot.

Harry had surmised that the darkness was not an attack, but a defense put up by Mai in an effort to protect herself so she could heal. He also revealed his discovery that Murphy was not who she claimed she was. As Murpy tranfsformmd into into a fire-breathing dragon, Morgan shielded the group while Amber watched Harry attempt to prevent Mai from healing herself.

Harry was successful, causing the darkness to move in again, destroying the dragon. Amber's opinion of Harry changed that day. Intrigued, she looks forward to the opportunity to see him again.
